Surfing on internet, became the basic need

Internet connection became very common in the western part of the world before a decade, theses countries have higher internet penetration which means more people are access to internet, but countries like sri lanka is just started its journey on commoditization of internet (according to  SLTRC its lower than 400,000, check TRC web to find more). Aim of this post is to compare the internet connections available in sri lanka. Here I am discussing on mobile broad band providers , because I believe that land line or ADSL are too much costs even though it have great speed.

This situation made the mobile service providing companies as unprofitable or low profit, to stop this worse situation telecommunication regulatory commission came up with the fix price for calls, ban the new 1000 mins packages and etc.

Now companies have no choice they need to compete with broadband

If you need to have high speed connection – go for etisalat

Dialog and mobitel are introduced the 4G but its limited to few areas, etisalat have its 3.75 G its wider implemented than those. But the MB limited so you can’t download much  

If you need to download more go for dialog

Dialog’s time limited packages with unlimited download will help you to save your money, but before check whether you have good coverage, at least HSDPA.

 If you use the internet only for face book go for mobitel or airtel

my golden advice is before purchase any postpaid packages, use the prepaid and see whether its match your need, and working well
